How your proof works:
- Within 24 hours of your order, we email you a proof showing the design on your exact laptop.
- One round of minor adjustments is included.
- If we don't hear back within 48 hours of sending your proof, we'll print it as shown, so your skin isn't held back from its drop.
- Approve your proof by end of day Sunday (US Eastern) before the drop's ship date and it ships with that drop. Proofs approved after that ship with the next drop.
Available in crystal-textured PVC with a matte finish or smooth glossy PVC. Includes a matching phone skin if your phone is in our list. Hand finished in Nairobi, shipped from New Jersey.

When your design is light or busy, the key labels can blend in. This adds a subtle darkened layer behind each key so every letter stays easy to read, without changing the rest of your design.

Design your own laptop skin: what happens after you order
Making your own laptop skin takes three steps: your design, your proof, then printing and hand-weeding in Nairobi. Here's each one, start to finish.

We print your skin in the finish you chose, machine-cut it, then pick out the scraps between the keys by hand in our Nairobi studio. It ships with the drop from New Jersey, with a matching phone skin if your phone is in our dropdown list.

A machine cuts your skin from a file we build for your exact laptop. That leaves tiny scraps of material between the keys. Weeding means picking them out, and we do it by hand, one at a time, in our Nairobi studio. It's slow. It's why every key keeps its own piece.

Common questions
Will this fit my exact laptop model?
Every skin is precision cut for your specific laptop model. When you select your model from the dropdown, we cut the lid, keyboard, and palm rest pieces to match your exact dimensions. We cover MacBook, Dell, HP, ASUS, Surface, Lenovo, and more.
What is the difference between the matte and glossy finish?
Our crystal-textured PVC with a matte finish has a subtle texture you can feel under your fingertips, with a soft, non-reflective look. Smooth glossy PVC is slick and reflective, closer to a polished surface. Both are made from the same durable PVC. Most customers choose the crystal-textured finish for the tactile feel and fingerprint resistance.
Is the keyboard skin one big piece or individual keys?
Individual keys. Each key gets its own piece, machine-cut to your keyboard's layout. Then the tiny scraps between the keys are picked out by hand (this is called weeding) in our Nairobi studio. It takes longer, but every key piece stays exactly in place.
Can I remove it without damaging my laptop?
Yes. The adhesive is designed to peel off cleanly without leaving residue or damaging your laptop surface. If you decide to change designs or go back to the original look, just peel and it comes off clean.
Does it protect against scratches?
Yes. The skin takes the everyday scratches and scuffs, so your laptop doesn't.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth or a microfiber cloth. That's all it needs.
When will my order ship?
We work in drops, so every skin is made to order and ships on the drop's ship date, shown on this page. Your skin is made in our Nairobi studio, reaches our New Jersey fulfilment partner in 2 to 4 days, then goes out to you by tracked ground shipping. We email you when it leaves Nairobi, and again with your tracking number. Shipping is free on US orders of $55 or more. Shipping policy.
What is included in my order?
Every order ships with a lid skin, a full keyboard skin covering every individual key, trackpad, and palm rest, a matching phone skin in the same design, a squeegee tool for application, and a printed application guide. The phone skin is included at no extra charge if your phone is in our dropdown list.
How do I apply it?
Start with the lid, then the keyboard keys, then the palm rest sections. Use the included squeegee to smooth out bubbles as you go. Most people finish in 10 to 15 minutes. The material is repositionable during the first few minutes if you need to adjust. Full instructions are in our application guide.
What if I mess up the installation?
We replace it. If you damage your skin during installation, reach out to us and we will send a replacement in our next production run at no charge. See our guarantee.
