What makes Tella Skins different from other laptop skins?

Tella Skins uses a crystal-textured PVC material with a unique micro-crystalline surface, not flat vinyl like most competitors. The texture catches light and adds physical depth to every design. Which laptops do you make skins for?

We make skins for almost any laptop. Browse by brand: MacBook, Dell, HP, ASUS, Surface, and Lenovo. If your laptop is not listed in any of these collections, order a custom skin for any laptop model. Enter your exact model, then pick any design from our collections (screenshot it and upload the screenshot) or upload your own.

Will the skin fit my laptop exactly?

Yes. Every skin is precision cut for your specific laptop model. Select your model from the dropdown on the product page before adding to cart. If your model is not in the dropdown, use our custom skin for any laptop model and type in your exact model name and number. We will cut it to fit.

How do I find my laptop model?

For MacBook users: click the Apple menu → About This Mac. Your model and year will be listed there. You can also check the model identifier (e.g. A2681) on the underside of your laptop. Apple's full model list is here.

For Windows laptops: check the underside of your laptop for a label with the model number, or go to Settings → System → About. See our Find Your Model guide for step-by-step instructions by brand.

How do I apply the skin?

Clean your laptop surface with a microfibre cloth. Peel the skin from the backing slowly and align it to your laptop lid. Smooth it from the centre outward to avoid bubbles. The keyboard skin applies the same way. Individual key cutouts align precisely with your keyboard layout. See our full Application Guide for detailed steps.

What about the logo on the lid?

By default, we cut around your laptop logo so it remains visible through the skin. If you prefer the logo covered, check the "Hide laptop logo" option on the product page before adding to cart.

Will the skin leave residue when removed?

No. The skin is designed to remove cleanly without leaving adhesive residue on your laptop surface.

Does the skin work with laptop cases?

The skin replaces the need for a case on the exterior. It is ultra-thin and does not add bulk, so most laptop bags and sleeves will still fit normally.

What is the free phone skin?

Every order includes a free matching phone skin: same design, same crystal-textured material. Select your phone model on the product page before adding to cart. It is cut from material offcuts so nothing goes to waste.

What keyboard layout do skins ship with?

US (ANSI) is the default. Choose UK (ISO) from the Keyboard layout dropdown on the product page. For any other layout, select "Other" in that dropdown and describe it in the Special Instructions field.

How long does shipping take?

Tella Skins operates on a drop model. All orders from a drop ship together on the stated ship date. Once shipped from our New Jersey facility, tracked ground delivery typically takes 2 to 5 business days depending on your location. Faster options are available at checkout. You will receive an email when your skins leave our Nairobi studio, and a second email with your tracking number once your order is dispatched to you. What if I mess up the installation?

What is the return policy?

All products are made to order and precision cut for your specific laptop model, so we do not accept returns for change of mind. If your skin arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo and we will send a replacement at no cost. If the wrong model was selected at checkout, we can produce a replacement at 50% off with free shipping. See our full Refund Policy for details.
